Kota Tinggi Waterfalls

The Kota Tinggi Waterfalls, also called as the Lombong Waterfalls, are situated 50 Kms towards the north-east of Johor Bahru at the foot of Gunung Muntahak. 14 Kms towards the north-west of Kota Tinggi town is a 37 meters high waterfall. Here, one can also find restaurants, chalets for overnight stay, a camping ground and picnic spots.

Kota Tinggi Mausoleum

The Kota Tinggi Mausoleum is situated on the northern outskirts of the town Kota Tinggi. Several popular royal personalities rest at this place, including Sultan Mahmud who was assassinated by his nobles in 1699.

Mount Ophir

The Mount Ophir is also called as Gunung Ledang. It can be accessed from the North-South Highway. The pinnacle has an altitude of 1,276 meters and there are clear and well-marked track to reach it. This place is an ideal excursion destination. The Sagil Waterfall is located at its base where one can swim in its clear and cool waters. There is a resort at this place with amenities like food stalls, campsites, changing rooms and resting sheds.

Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum

The Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum is an evidence of the history and regal legacy of the Johor Sultanate. Here, one can view silver-plated ceramics, antique furniture, the first Johor postal stamps, gold coins, the 19th century currencies and Chinese pottery. The throne room, banqueting hall and the reception room have several stately furnishings. The trophy room has a life-sized taxidermic rhinoceros and tiger.
